FootballManchester United Set to Revamp Carrington Training Ground After Ronaldo’s Interview
- Cristiano Ronaldo has left Manchester United but his words are still making impacts
- The Portuguese's contract was terminated after an explosive interview that criticised every level of the club
- The club's training facilities at Carrington are now set to undergo revamping with new features added
Cristiano Ronaldo's second coming to Manchester United brought more bad fortunes than good fortunes for the Portuguese international. The manner in which he left tainted his legacy at the club.
He tried to force a move away from the club to join a club in the UEFA Champions League to no avail. He instead used the means of an explosive interview with Piers Morgan, which forced the club to terminate his contract, and he joined Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia.
What Ronaldo said on Man Utd facilities
The interview was extensive and touched many areas of the club. As reported by Mirror UK, he criticised the facilities and said nothing had changed since the days of Sir Alex Ferguson.

''The progress was zero. Since Sir Alex left, I saw no evolution in the club. Nothing had changed… Everyone knows. The people who don’t see that… it’s because they don’t want to see it. They are blind,'' he said.
The 38-year-old also had words for head coach Erik Ten Hag, who he said has no respect for him, and in turn, he also does not respect the former Ajax manager.
Man plan Carrington renovation
Ronaldo was heavily criticised for the interview, but it seems his words hit home with the right people, and the club have begun plans to refurbish its facilities, as reported by Sun UK.
The club have earmarked millions of pounds to transform their Carrington base. They have hired KSS as planners and appointed Mads Mernagh, who oversaw Leicester City's project, as programme director.

FootballThis comes in the middle of a potential sale of the club, with the Glazers wanting about £6bn and setting a deadline of February 17 for interested parties to submit a written note of interest, as reported by Manchester Evening News.
Weghorst disagrees with Ronaldo
Sports Brief earlier reported that United's new striker Wout Weghorst disagreed with Ronaldo on the state of the club's training facilities.
The Dutch striker, in his first words after joining on a six months loan, claimed the club's facilities are top quality, a statement which contradicts Ronaldo's words.
However, the planned revamping in the summer proves Ronaldo right. While Weghorst is not wrong, it surely proves United has it better than his previous clubs.
