  • Amadou Onana's tenacity on the pitch will have you thinking he doesn't have any other talents, more so singing
  • But the midfielder is a gifted singer who could easily put your favourite musicians to shame
  • He will be hoping to be in the thick of things for Sean Dyche as they attempt to avoid relegation

When you see him at first, you will get an impression of a player who is ready to leave everything on the pitch. His facial expressions depict someone who will go to great lengths to make sure his side gets maximum points.

When you add the common stereotype that the best box-to-box midfielders in history have always been black players, then perhaps you will understand why he is destined for the top. He might not be anywhere near Yaya Toure's, Michael Essien's Claude Makelele's, Marcel Desailly's or even N'Golo Kante's level but so far so good, he is on the right path.

Amadou Onana has settled in quite well in the Everton team despite the team's struggles this season. His energetic runs and willingness to always lunge into tackles has made him a constant feature in the Toffees squad. Heck, he even made it to Belgium's World Cup squad.

He was recently named man of the match on Sean Dyche's debut as Everton's boss following Frank Lampard's sacking.

Onana the singer

But nothing about Onana's character on the pitch will make you think he is a singer. And a talented one for that matter. The same same midfielder who is always ready to go toe to toe with any opponent can equally take Ed Sheeran to the edge when they get into a booth together. Okay, maybe we are pushing with the Sheeran part but you get the point.

Summer Walker

In a video shared by 101 Great Goals, the 21-year-old is seen singing word for word Summer Walker's You don't know what love is.

The comment section was filled with fans taken aback by the fact that the former Lille midfielder could actually sing. Looks can deceive I tell you.

Sean Dyche will be hoping Onana will have gotten some of his answers as he continues with the huge task of escaping relegation. He won his first game in charge last weekend when they beat league leaders Arsenal. They entertain struggling Liverpool in the Merseyside derby on Monday.

Onana turned down Chelsea

Onana recently turned down an offer from Chelsea and reportedly wants to focus on helping Everton avoid relegation this season.

Premier League leaders Arsenal are also interested in the Belgian midfielder to provide cover for Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka but would have to wait until the summer.
