Manchester United icon Rio Ferdinand has been spotted in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The retired footballer-turned-pundit was at the stadium to support his former United teammate and friend Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ferdinand, who showed unflinching support for Ronaldo during his difficult second spell with the Red Devils, was seen at Al-Nassr's Saudi Pro League clash with Al-Wehda.
In photos shared on social media, the 44-year-old posed with Ronaldo ahead of the latter's groundbreaking performance on Thursday evening.

Perhaps Ferdinand's presence before the encounter may have proved the catalyst for Cristiano's four-goal haul against Al-Wehda.
He notched all four goals as Al-Nassr returned to winning ways to consolidate their spot at the summit of the Saudi top flight, per BBC.
Ronaldo also managed to cross the 500-league goal barrier with his four strikes against Al-Wehda while reaching an impressive 61 hattricks, Fan Nation reports.

The Portuguese superstar cemented his status as the greatest finisher to have graced football, following his super hat trick against Al-Wehda in the Saudi Pro League.
Ronaldo has been on fire since last week, with the 38-year-old scoring five goals in his last two appearances so far for his new Riyadh-based club.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Cristiano Ronaldo bagged four goals and recorded his 61st career hattrick on Thursday during Al Nassr’s match against Al-Wehda in the Saudi Pro League.
Al Nassr went to Al-Wehda on Thursday without suspended top scorer Talisca but the Portuguese icon ensured that the Brazilian was not missed.
Ronaldo's first goal arrived in the 21st minute of the game via a sweet left-footed strike then produced a clinical finish with his right foot to make it 2-0 just before half-time.
