There is trouble brewing in Spain as the battle for supremacy between La Liga president, Javier Tebas and top clubs, Real Madrid and Barcelona reaches new heights.
The two Spanish giants' involvement in the proposed European Super League (ESL) has prompted the league chief to take drastic action against the country's two top clubs.
According to Madrid Universal, the La Liga president has decided to bar Real Madrid and Barcelona from any future discussions on the league's television broadcasting rights.
Tebas has also stripped both clubs of the right to vote, claiming their involvement in the ESL would seriously harm the TV rights value of La Liga clubs not participating in the competition.
