Alves has been detained since January 20 on suspicion of assaulting a young woman in a Barcelona nightclub and his family is now facing the backlash.
According to Football Espana, Alves’ ex-wife Dana Dinorah has now revealed that their two children have now been subjected to abuse on social media following the incident.

“He worries a lot about the children because this affects him. It got so bad that people wrote to the children on Instagram. Even though they have it private, and I told them not to look, they have done so and it has ended up affecting them. They know their father hasn’t done this.”
Even if Alves is proven innocent, he might be imprisoned for two years unless his lawyer can persuade the judge to release him on bail.

Meanwhile, Dani Alves’ ex-wife Dana Dinorah has maintained that the Brazil defender is innocent after he was arrested and imprisoned for assaulting a lady, Marca reports.
Dinorah again reiterated her view that Alves was incapable of such an act as she claims she has known him for over 22 years and has been married to the defender for 10 years.
Dinorah also revealed that she and her family will be moving to Barcelona and plan on seeing Alves immediately after he is released from prison.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Brazil defender Dani Alves was taken into custody on Friday in Spain over allegations that he assaulted a woman at a Barcelona nightclub in December, police said.
The 39-year-old player was summoned to a Barcelona police station where he was "taken into custody" and will now be questioned by a judge, said a spokesperson for Catalonia's regional police force, the Mossos d'Esquadra.
Spanish media said Alves arranged to be interviewed by police regarding the allegations through his lawyers.
