Barcelona who are Spanish La Liga giants have reportedly made Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland as their main transfer target and they will move for him at the end of the season.
This comes hours after Haaland and his teammates at the German Bundesliga side crashed out of the Champions League losing against Premier League side Manchester City.
There is no doubt about the fact that Erling Haaland is one of the fast rising youngsters in the world considering his performances so far for Borussia Dortmund.
In fact, Haaland and Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe have both been tipped as the two players who will replace Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Borussia Dortmund are currently occupying fifth position on the Bundesliga table and the side's chiefs will find it hard to keep Haaland in the summer if they should fail to qualify for next season's Champions League.
According to the report on UK Sun, Barcelona chiefs are trying to convince Erling Haaland's representatives that moving to the Nou Camp would be the best for him.
Their logic centres around the benefits of the 20-year-old potentially getting to play with Lionel Messi in his first years at the club.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland set new Champions league record following his brace in their 2-2 draw with Spanish side Sevilla.
Dortmund dumped the La Liga outfit out of the tournament after the German side won 5-4 on aggregates.
The 20-year-old is now the quickest a player has ever reached 20 goals in the competition, and in 10 fewer appearances than the previous record holder Harry Kane.
Spurs striker Kane reached such feat after 24 matches while Italian legend Allessandro Del Piero reached the 20 goal mark in 26 games.
Former Manchester United striker Ruud van Nisteltooy grabbed his 20th Champions League goal in his 27th appearance while Filipo Inzaghi reached such feat after 28 games.
Haaland also received all the accolades following his brace and an assist in their win over Spanish side Sevilla in the first leg.
