Chelsea identify the top European manager they will hire if they sack Graham Potter
FootballChelsea Fans React to Reports Enrique Could Be Hired if Potter Is Sacked
- Chelsea hired Graham Potter just over four months ago after sacking Thomas Tuchel
- There is increasing pressure on him to deliver results with the club firmly rooted in ninth
- He could be replaced by former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique which has got fans talking
Chelsea's usual tradition under former owner, Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich was hiring and firing managers. He had 15 managers during his 19 years reign in charge of the club, 12 permanent and three interims.
Todd Boehly's led consortium vowed to change that tradition, evident in giving Graham Potter a five-year contract after the English manager was hired to replace Champions League winning manager Thomas Tuchel.
Chelsea is currently ninth and have only won twice since football resumed after the World Cup, which has led to speculations the former Brighton manager is walking on a tightrope.
Chelsea eye Enrique as Potter's replacement
As reported by Sports Brief, the London club eye former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique as the top candidate to replace Potter if results do not change soon.

Following his departure from the Spain national team after their disappointing World Cup outing, Enrique made known his desire to return to management at club side, as reported by The Athletic.
Fans' reaction to Enrique rumours
The fans of the two-time Champions League winner did not receive the news well, not because they are pleased with the state of the club under Potter, but they want patience and do not want the same technique as under Roman.

If you want Potter to succeed, he has to be given time, especially given the board’s transfer strategy, which looks all over the place at the moment.

Changing manager again would never bring instant impact. Chelsea should trust in the process in order to gain success again.

Not again. If this happens , it will be the same situation like we had in the Abrahamovich era. We have to give Potter a full season with his own signings + A pre season and squad with Deadwood cleared.

Potter was doing great at Brighton... It's understandable that when a great opportunity comes, you take it. Chelsea should keep faith in the decision they made. Results are not visible now but they shouldn't do the same thing again, firing a coach in the middle of something.
