Siuuu: Ronaldo finally scores his first goal to rescue Al Nassr from the jaws of defeat
FootballReal Reason Why Vincent Aboubakar Left Al Nassr on Ronaldo’s Arrival
- Vincent Aboubakar's decision to leave Al-Nassr has been blamed on his 'fear' of being benched
- He bagged four goals and notched an assist in 11 games before departing the Riyadh-based giants
- The Cameroon international has since moved on from his controversial exit at Al Nassr, returning to Turkish side Besiktas
Al-Nassr midfielder Jaloliddin Masharipov has weighed in on the controversy surrounding Vincent Aboubakar's exit from the Saudi club.
Aboubakar, who scored 13 goals and provided 6 assists during his time at Al-Nassr, saw his stay at the club truncated following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Reports indicate that Aboubakar's contract was mutually terminated in compliance with Saudi football laws, which state that a club could not register more than eight foreign players.
The decision to allow the Cameroon international amid Ronaldo's early season struggles has raised eyebrows.

But discussing Aboubakar's exit, Masharipov believes the 31-year-old striker was not prepared to stay at the club.
"If Vincent wanted to stay, he would have stayed. He just left to avoid being benched. I think he took it for granted."
He further claimed the Cameroon skipper was scared of being left in the background hence his decision to depart.
"When Cristiano arrived, he felt that he would fall into the background. Therefore he left Al-Nassr as soon as a good offer came in. I don't think there was any scandalous situation.”
Aboubakar scores on Besiktas return
Vincent Aboubakar marked his Besiktas return with a wonderful goal, which was agonisingly ruled out for an offside call.
The Cameroon captain debuted for the second time for the Turkish giants, as he started their Super Lig match against Alanyaspor on January 27.
Cenk Tosun opened the scoring from the spot after 20 minutes. 16 minutes later, Aboubakar thought he had doubled the lead, only for the Video Assistant Referee to rule it out.

FootballRonaldo faulted for Aboubakar exit
Football fans across the micro-blogging App, Twitter, have expressed their disappointment with Al-Nassr's decision to part ways with Vincent Aboubakar, Sports Brief earlier reported.
Aboubakar, who scored an iconic goal at the 2022 World Cup, was expected to form a lethal partnership with Ronaldo following the latter's move to the Middle East.
However, the supposed partnership has hit a snag with Al-Nassr opting to part ways with the Cameroon captain in order to make room for Cristiano Ronaldo.
