Things that must be told
Folarin was born in the United States to Nigerian parents and that qualifies him to play for either the country of his birth or the West African nation.

Speaking to legendary Nigerian reporter, Hammed Adio, he claimed that Balogun should be allowed to choose the country he wants adding that the NFF should not beg him.
Statement made by Adio
''Balogun should be left alone to make his choice and I really don't want the NFF to persuade him because we already have enough strikers who can do the job for the Super Eagles.''
