According to the report on Complete Sports, Ikpeba explained that Havertz should be played from the wings at Chelsea.

Statement made by Ikpeba

“I have my doubts, I have worries. A team that has Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang I don’t understand why he does not play.
“Kai Havertz, with due respect to him, isn’t a striker. He can play from the wings.''

Chelsea are currently occupying ninth position on the Premier League table with 30 points after 21 games.

The Blues will be facing West Ham United in their next Premier League game on Saturday, 11 February.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang snubbed

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s career hit a new low after he was omitted from Chelsea’s Champions League squad for the knockout stages.

Graham Potter appeared to have left out the former Arsenal man to pave way for the new Chelsea signings Enzo Fernandez, Mykhailo Mudryk and Joao Felix, who all made the list.

Defender Benoit Badiashile was also missing from the squad.

Aubameyang was also snubbed from the matchday squad in Chelsea’s Premier League encounter against Fulham, further fueling speculation that he is surplus to requirements at the club.
