Manchester City are in danger of getting severe punishment should they be found guilty of financial breaches.
City are alleged to have breached Premier League financial guidelines between 2009 and 2018 following a four-year probe.
According to Metro UK, the Premier League accused the Citizens of violating rules instructing them to provide ‘accurate financial information' that gives a true and fair view of their financial position.
Given the latest developments, City are expected to face an uncertain future, especially if they are found guilty of the breaches.

This comes barely two years after UEFA ruled that the Premier League giants violated ‘serious breaches’ of Financial Fair Play between 2012 and 2016.
The Etihad landlords were subsequently slapped with a two-year transfer ban which was later lifted by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
Should Man City be found guilty of the alleged financial breaches, the reigning champions could be slapped with a raft of punishments.
The punishment includes a possible expulsion from the English top flight, a points deduction, striping of previous titles, a transfer ban, spending limits, and even unlimited fines.
Be that as it may, The Mirror reports that there is little precedent to refer to when it comes to punishment, especially given that this is new territory for all the parties involved.
