Felix Afena-Gyan has disclosed his excitement after seeing former teammate Georginio Wijnaldum make an injury comeback, during the Coppa Italia game between AS Roma and US Cremonese.
The Ghana international accidentally injured the Dutchman in training in August last year, a week before he was shipped out to Cremonese.
Despite unintentionally hurting his ex-teammate, Afena-Gyan has carried guilt until seeing him make a return to action in midweek.
Wijnaldum featured as Afena-Gyan's Cremonese dumped out AS Roma from the Coppa Italia.

“It was a great joy for me to see him again on the field,” Feix told Corriere dello Sport as quoted by Roma Press.
“I’ve told myself so many times that I shouldn’t have felt guilty because his injury was caused by a clash, not by an intentional foul of mine. Obviously, however, I was very sorry for Gini, who deserves the best and will be able to give Roma great help from now on.”
The 20-year-old forward is enjoying a good run in the Cup competition, having netted all his Cremonese goals in the Coppa Italia. He has scored two goals for the Serie A strugglers.
The Black Stars striker will be hoping to help Cremonse avoid the drop.
