Paris Saint-Germain have suffered a huge blow, with forward Kylian Mbappe set to miss the upcoming UEFA Champions League knockout stage with an injury.
The 23-year-old suffered a thigh injury during his side's Ligue 1 clash against Montpellier on Thursday night.
The Frenchman hooked off in the 21st minute with an apparent leg injury after colliding with a Montpellier defender.
PSG have released a statement on Thursday to reveal the extent of his injury.

According to the defending Ligue 1 champions, Mbappe will not be in action for the next three weeks, meaning the France international has been ruled out of the first leg of the club's Champions League encounter against Bayern Munich on February 14.
The club said in an official statement: "After undergoing tests, Kylian Mbappe suffered an injury to the left thigh at the level of the femoral biceps."
Mbappe misses back-to-back penalties
Meanwhile, Kylian Mbappe missed from the spot on two occasions in Paris Saint-Germain's Ligue 1 game against Montpellier on Wednesday evening.
Mbappe, who scored a hat-trick of penalties in the World Cup final, uncharacteristically missed his effort from 12 yards on two occasions.
The 24-year-old had the opportunity to put PSG ahead after just seven minutes, per MARCA.
However, his effort was thwarted by Montpellier's goalkeeper Benjamin Lecomte, who correctly guessed the direction of Mbappe's effort but was adjudged to have stepped off the line.
