But against all odds, Dessers and his teammates shocked Roma and the club's home fans to record a famous 2-1 win.

When did Dessers score?
According to the report by Score Nigeria, the 28-year-old opened scoring for Cremonese via the penalty spot in the 28th minute. An own goal from Zeki Celik in the 49th minute doubled the lead for the visitors.
Roma came out aggressively in the second half looking to restore parity by any means, but they were only able to score a goal at the death through Andrea Belotti.
Journalist reacts to Dessers' display
Sports Brief spoke with Nigerian sports reporter, Ojora Babatunde, who is based in Paris. He explained that Dessers would have to keep scoring to increase his chances of selection for the Super Eagles squad.
''I was happy that he scored against Roma, which helped his team, but he has to start netting in the Serie A because they are not doing well, and goals will surely decide his fate in the Super Eagles.''
