Ghana forward, Joseph Paintsil celebrated his 25th birthday with a goal after scoring in KRC Genk's draw on the road against KAS Eupen in the Belgium League.

The winger opened the scoring for the visitors with a cleverly converted strike in the 17th minute.

But the hosts responded 12 minutes later through Stef Peeters, who scored from the spot to see the spoils of the game shared.

In a video posted on social media, Paintsil was sent through by Bryan Heynen, before he slotted home with a two-touch finish.

The Black Stars forward has been in blistering form for KRC Genk this season, netting his ninth goal of the campaign to keep the Belgium giants on top of the league.

Paintsil has been the live-wire for the league leaders and will be hoping to win his second title with the club at the end of the season.

Paintsil reacts to Genk draw

Paintsil took to social media to share his satisfaction after the game, expressing a positive outlook ahead of Genk's next game against KAA Gent.

"A point and a goal on the road but we move on to the next one. Thanks to everyone who took the time to celebrate me on my special day. I appreciate it," he wrote.

Paintsil blasts former Ghana coach

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on KRC Genk winger, Paintsil blaming former Ghana coach, Otto Addo for allegedly taking his World Cup dreams away from him.

The Ghanaian has been in red-hot form for the Belgium league leaders, but the former Black Stars coach dropped him from the 2022 tournament in Qatar.

The 25-year-old was his country's best forward in Europe before the final team announcement, having scored six goals and provided six assists in 14 matches.

Paintsil pays tribute to father

Ghana winger, Paintsil tributed his late father just 48 hours after burying him in Accra, with a match-winner for KRC Genk against Anderlecht.

The Black Stars man was in his home country to pay his final respects to his father, who had died on November 18.

After his father's funeral, the 25-year-old immediately left for Belgium to join his teammates for the cup game.
