Oshoala then spent two years at Rivers Angels and her performances helped her secure a move to Liverpool in 2015, becoming the first Nigerian female player to feature for the Anfield side.

League head lauds Oshoala's success

Sports Brief spoke with Aisha Falode, the head of the Nigerian Women Football League, who expressed happiness with the development of the talented striker.

"Asisat is our pride, and we are proud of her because she is doing well for herself and putting the name of Nigeria in a better shape at Barcelona. There is how you will mention Oshoala without attributing the fact that she is a Nigerian."

Asisat Oshoala nets hat-trick

Sports Brief also reported on Oshoala continuing her blistering form in the Spanish Primera Division, scoring a hat-trick against Granadilla Tenerife on January 29.

This latest triple came less than a week after she netted three times in Barcelona Femeni’s 7-0 trouncing of Levante Las Planas.
