Arsenal fans have urged Brighton and Hove Albion to release Moises Caicedo after the Seagulls rejected a £60m from the Gunners.

The Gunners, who are runaway leaders in the Premier League, are keen to bolster their midfield after the injury to Mohammed Elneny.

As reported by BBC, Mikel Arteta is not willing to risk his title surge with a slim squad, hence the bid for Caicedo, who is seen as a perfect addition to the Gunners midfield.

It was earlier reported that Brighton already turned down a bid from Chelsea for the 21-year old, which was in the region of £55m.

Brighton will face Liverpool in the FA Cup fourth round on Sunday, January 29, and manager Roberto De Zerbi made it clear the club had all the intentions to keep their midfielder.

“He is only focused on Brighton. I understand he has the chance to go to a very big team but I hope he can stay with us until the end of the season” De Zerbi said as cited on Fabrizio Romano’s page.

“Let him go to a bigger club”

Football fans, particularly those affiliated with Arsenal, strongly believe Caicedo should leave Brighton for a “bigger” club.
