• Asisat Oshoala and 22 other Nigerian female players have been invited for the Super Falcons Mexico tourney
• On Wednesday, February 15, the Super Falcons will play their first game in the tournament against Mexico
• Nigeria coach Waldrum is expected to use the competition to prepare his side for this year's World Cup

Randy Waldrum who is the coach of the Super Falcons of Nigeria has invited 23 players for next month’s Revelation Cup Tournament to be staged in Leon, Mexico City.

Barcelona Femeni striker Asisat Oshoala is among the players called by Waldrum alongside the likes of Piumptre and Ajibade in what is a strong squad.

Captain of the Nigerian side Onome Ebi is also in the squad ahead of the tournament which will start on February 15th to 21st.

Objectives of the tournament

According to the report on Complete Sports, the aim and target of the tournament is to prepare the teams for the coming Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Nigerian international Asisat Oshoala was on a scoring spree as Barcelona Femeni thrashed their Levante Las Planas counterparts 7-0 in the Spanish women’s league on Wednesday.

Barca’s female team become the first in the history of football to win 50 consecutive league matches.
