NBAWhat Arteta and Arsenal Must Do to Win Premier League Title
- Arsenal is in pole position to win their first Premier League title since the 2004 Invincibles
- They sit five points clear of Manchester City in second with a game in hand
- We look at the things Mikel Arteta's men must do to be crowned champions come May
Arsenal's patience with Mikel Arteta appears to be paying off eventually having built a team to beat with a championship mentality, probably set for a title win for the first time in 19 years.
The Gunners can finally end their 19 years wait for a Premier League title since they went unbeaten in the 2003/04 season under legendary manager Arsene Wenger.
It is still a long way to go with only half of the season played but if the team keep their momentum, the league trophy will be lifted at the Emirates Stadium in May. Sports Brief highlights two important things the Gunners must do.
Accumulate 100 points
According to My Football Facts, since Arsenal won the title unbeaten in 2003/04, the least points the champion has amassed was 81 by Leicester City in the 2015/2016 season.

As noted by Daily Star, it is statistically possible for the Gunners to finish with 107 points this season, surpassing the 100 points record set by Pep Guardiola's Manchester City in the 2017/18 season.
Man City is currently second with 45 points, and with 18 games left it is statistically possible for them to still amass 99 points this season, which means Arsenal need at least 100 points if both teams win their remaining games. The twist in this plot is that the two have not met this season.
Win more points against City in two legs
Portugal World Cup Squad 2022: Is Cristiano Ronaldo playing this World Cup?
FootballAccording to Premier League, the two sides are scheduled to meet on February 15 at the Emirates Stadium and April 26 at the Etihad Stadium.
The two fixtures will go a long way in deciding the eventual winner. To win, you either have to boost your own points and/or deflate that of your opponent. Arsenal needs to do both by securing all maximum points or at least four points in the tie.
This will potentially peg City's maximum points for the season to 93 and make things easier for Arsenal. It would not be an easy task as Guardiola's men have won their last five meetings against Arsenal by an aggregate score of 10-1, as revealed by Premier League.
Supercomputer predicts Arsenal victory
Sports Brief earlier reported that a supercomputer predicted Arsenal will win the title come May, with City failing in their bid to retain the title and finishing second.
