Amazingly, Lyle Foster and Vincent Kompany have played against each other before.
The impressive Burnley coach and his new striking acquisition crossed paths during the 2019/20 season in the Belgian Pro League.
Foster was playing for Cercle Brugge while on loan from Ligue 1 team Monaco, while the Manchester City legend was winding his career down at Belgium's giants Anderlecht R.S.C.

Burnley makes spectacular Foster announcement
Is Burnley signing Lionel Messi? Nope. What about Cristiano Ronaldo? Na ah. Why, they are signing none other than Bafana Bafana striker, Lyle Foster from Westerlo.
The Championship side based in Lancashire used clever humour from the 'Shrek' universe to announce the 22-year-old's acquisition.
It involved a conversation from the first Shrek movie, where the main antagonist - Lord Farquaad - has a vanity-fuelled conversation with 'Mirror, Mirror On The Wall'.
After hinting that the club's major signing could be the Argentine veteran or the Portuguese veteran, it turns out to be none other than Foster himself.
Foster nominated for top award
Last year, Sports Brief reported on the sky and beyond being only the only limit for Foster in Belgium.
He was nominated for the 2021/2022 1B Pro League Player Of The Year Award, the Belgian second division's highest individual honour.
Since joining K.V.C Westerlo from Portuguese side, Vitória Sport Clube Futebol on loan, the 22-year-old was instrumental in helping the team win the championship and be promoted to the Jupiler Pro Division - the country's top flight.
