Nigeria's Grammy award winning musician, Burna Boy claims his football career was thwarted early because he did not feel important in his team.
The Afrobeats superstar enjoyed the game while growing up, and mostly featured as a goalkeeper.
However, later in life he decided to pursue his talent in music, which seems to have been the best decision for the singer.
In a video shared on social media, Burna Boy, known in real life as Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, confessed his love for the game.

"Personally, I was playing a lot of football," he said. "I was good at it but the wickedest thing is I was good at goalkeeping," he added.
"That's why I just stopped because it was dead. I didn't feel important. I didn't feel I was needed like that.
"I felt like without me, they will still be alright. So I said I didn't want to spend my life like that."
The decision ended up being the best for Burna Boy, who currently is one of the most loved singers in the world. His song Last Last has been a global hit.
