Ivorian legend, Didier Drogba expressed delight after he was pictured with Italian legend, Roberto Baggio.

The former Chelsea star met with the 55-year-old, as they posed for a selfie which has now gone viral on social media.

Baggio, who played as an attacking midfielder during his active days, remains one of the greatest to have played the game of football.

The former AC Milan and ex-Inter Milan forward made 56 appearances for the Italian national football team between 1988 and 2004, scoring 27 goals.

He captained Gli Azzurri to finish as runners-up at the 1994 FIFA World Cup in the United States, where he missed a shoot-out penalty in the final to see Brazil win the title.

Four years earlier, Baggio was part of the Italian national team that finished third at the World Cup in his home country.

Drogba was pleased to meet with the legend, sharing a photo of himself and his fellow star with the caption:

"Ciao Idolo [Hi idol]. My smile says it all."

Drogba denies converting to Islam

Meanwhile, Chelsea legend Drogba has cleared the air on reports circulating that he had converted from Christianity to Islam.

There have been reports that the 44-year-old converted while visiting some Islamic scholars in his community in Ivory Coast.

Sports Brief earlier reported on Chelsea legend, Drogba having found love again, after he was spotted with another woman at the Ballon d'Or awards ceremony in Paris.

Drogba went public in his relationship with Gabrielle Lemaire earlier in the year, when they attended a Formula E race in Saudi Arabia together.

The pair's relationship seems to be blossoming as they were seen together in Paris, with the couple sparing some time to take photos on the red carpet.
