FootballFastest Players in English Premier League 2022/2023: Mudryk, Haaland, Nunez Dominate List
- Mykhailo Mudryk needed only 35 minutes in the EPL to clock the fastest speed
- Chelsea has two players in the top five as are Erling Haaland and Darwin Nunez
- Mudryk was likened to ex-Blues star Eden Hazard for his defence-beating skills
Mykhailo Mudryk's short cameo for Chelsea gave an early indication of why the club paid a huge figure for him.
His debut at Anfield depicted an electric winger who would give a lot of full-backs problems with his pace.
Within minutes of his introduction, Mudryk had gotten Liverpool's right-back for the day - James Milner - booked and as the match commentators put it, Milner isn't going to be the last.
Official statistics now show that Mudryk only required 35 minutes to break a Premier League record this season. The 22-year-old is now the fastest player in the 2022/2023 season, after clocking a speed of 36.63 km/h against the Reds.

Mudryk the new Eden Hazard?
Sports Brief had earlier reported on Chelsea fans believing new signing, Mudryk may be the real deal after his exemplary 35-minute show against Liverpool on Saturday.
The Blues beat Arsenal to sign Mudryk for £89-million from Shakhtar Donetsk in what was a shock transfer, with the Ukrainian snubbing the league leaders.
Mudryk was instantly integrated into Chelsea’s squad as under-pressure coach, Potter named him on the bench to face the Reds, who are also having a dull campaign.
