Nomvula Kgoale is ensuring that she maximises her earning potential while she still can.

The Banyana Banyana player rose to prominence during their run to win the 2022 Women Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, during which she was always seen putting on lipstick before matches, and sometimes, during these games. She sealed her nickname the "Lipstick Lady" when she danced into a video while putting her favourite chops-stick.

According to The Citizen, Kgoale has turned this into something of a business, wearing clothes branded with the words "The Lipstick Lady".

She said to the publication:

“If people want them, why not? I’ve had a number of people approaching me regarding Lipstick-Lady designs. It wasn’t really something that I was doing for people, just myself. However, it is something that one might have to look at in the future.”

Kgoale has put a hold on her career, returning from playing in Spain to take a break from the game.

Citing taking care of her mental health, she said:

“I don’t know if players talk about it, but I have been taking care of my mental health. After winning the cup (Wafcon), I just decided to take things slow and focus on my life. And when I talk about mental health I am not saying that I want to kill myself.”
