Thomas Tuchel endeared himself to Chelsea faithfuls when he took charge of the team in ninth position on January 25, 2021 and guided the team to a fourth place finish, won the UEFA Champions League and lost the FA Cup final.
In his first full season, he reached the final of two domestic cup competitions which he lost to Liverpool, Champions League quarter-final as well as third place finish. He won the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup, first in club history.
Importantly, he guided the team through a difficult period when Roman Abramovich was sanctioned which led to the sale of the club to new owner Todd Boehly led consortium, according to INews.
Chelsea mistakenly use Tuchel's picture
As captured by Twitter user @CFCDaily, the post on Chelsea's website announcing their press conference ahead of Liverpool's game had Tuchel's picture as the thumbnail. It has since been edited and the picture removed.

It does not come as a surprise that some among the fans and staff of the club still love the German. He showed leadership during the transition, one of which was claiming he would drive a bus to France for a Champions League game if needed, as reported by The Athletic.
He admitted in his farewell not that he would never have thought his time at the Stamford Bridge would come to an end so quick, as revealed on his official Twitter page.

There have been links with many vacant jobs in the past but the Champions League winner is yet to decide his next move.
