FootballPep Guardiola: Enraged Manchester City Boss Slams Players Despite Comeback vs Tottenham
- Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola was far from impressed by his side's latest performance
- The EPL defending champions staged a stunning second-half comeback to beat Tottenham Hotspur
- Guardiola tore into his players, the club's fans and the staff urging them to get their passion back
Pep Guardiola delivered a scathing interview minutes after his side recorded an epic comeback to beat Tottenham Hotspur.
Manchester City came from two goals down at halftime to beat Spurs 4-2 at the Etihad Stadium on January 19th. The win cut down Arsenal's lead at the top to five points.
The defending champions were stunned by two quickfire goals at the end of the first half from Dejan Kulusevski and Emerson Royal. However, a spirited comeback led by Riyad Marhez saw the hosts record one of the best comebacks in Premier League history.
Despite his team's heroics to get the three points, Guardiola was far from impressed. The Spanish Head Coach lashed into everyone in the club set up from his players to the staff to the fans.

Title race vs Arsenal
Guardiola insisted that his side got lucky on the night and cannot beat Arsenal to the title if they kept playing like that.
"Today, we were lucky, but it wouldn't change, sooner or later we are again going to drop points. We are missing passion, fire and desire and to win from minute one.
It's the same with our fans, they are silent for 45 minutes. They booed because we were losing, not because we played badly. I want my fans back; I want my fans here." As quoted by Sky Sports.
The Citizens face Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday as Arsenal face Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium.
Guardiola warns City
Sports Brief also reported that Pep Guardiola said Manchester City will be "destroyed" by Arsenal in the Premier League title race if they do not improve despite a stirring second-half fightback to beat Tottenham 4-2 on Thursday.
Guardiola sent a message with his team selection with Kevin De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva among the star names dropped to the bench as Alvarez was paired alongside Haaland in a change of system.
