Mykhailo Mudryk is a name on every Chelsea fan's lips, but the player wasn't the most well-known player before.

Despite being a relative unknown before Arsenal's interest in him, Mudryk previously caught the attention of one of world football's stars.

Mudryk is a big fan of Paris Saint-Germain attacker Neymar, and was even lucky enough to get a personal message from the Brazilian.

Why did Neymar message Mudryk?

As noted by Tribuna, Oleksandr Zinchenko's wife, Vlada, reached out to the PSG star and asked him to record a video message for Mudryk. The Ukrainian youngster was still at Shakhtar Donetsk at the time and admitted to Vlad that he was a huge fan of Neymar.

"He's a footballer I grew up watching and even now I enjoy watching him play. He was my favourite footballer.
"I think he's better than Cristiano Ronaldo in terms of talent. He could've won at least five Ballon d'Ors," he said at the time.

What did Neymar say?

Neymar was only too happy to help and send a message to the youngster when asked.

"Hi Misha Mudryk! Thanks for supporting me. I hope you'll have a great career full of beautiful moments, see you soon. Good luck, bye-bye!" Neymar said.

Meeting your heroes

With Mudryk officially moving to the Premier League with Chelsea, he could potentially face Neymar in the Champions League.

Chelsea next face Borussia Dortmund in the Round of 16 while PSG have to take on Bayern Munich, UEFA's website confirmed.
