Barcelona manager, Xavi Hernandez is still in awe with the performance of Spanish midfielder, Gavi in the Super Cup final victory against Real Madrid on Sunday, January 15.
Gavi produced one of his best displays in a Barcelona shirt, creating two assists and scoring once as the Catalans routed the defending champions 3-1 to claim their first trophy under Xavi.
The 18-year-old midfielder also won seven of the nine ground duels, had 88 percent pass accuracy, and had 100 percent of his tackles won, leading Xavi to sing his praises, Football Espana reports.
“I’m left speechless. He’s pure passion, pure soul. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth when he doesn’t play. He’s contagious for the team and he’s only 18 years old.”

Xavi was also impressed with the depth shown by Gavi, saying the young midfielder showed a different part of his game never witnessed before by the Barcelona manager.
