Arsenal sent a strong statement to their Premier League title rivals by making light work of their North London rivals, Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby.

Two first-half goals from Bukayo Saka and captain, Martin Odegaard were enough to hand the Gunners their first win away at Tottenham since 2014, and extend their lead at the top of the table to eight points.

As noted by Football London, the ball was dispatched to Martinelli's wing from a quick free kick in the 67th minute, and with plenty of space, he turned and controlled the ball with his back, much to the displeasure of Argentina defender, Cuti Romero.

Tottenham fan kicks Aaron Ramsdale

There will always be bad blood in a derby match and yesterday was not an exception. The match was intense, with 31 fouls and six yellow cards - and more could have been issued too.

As Sports Brief earlier reported, a Tottenham fan appeared to kick Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, after an altercation between him and Spurs' Richarlison after the final whistle.

The fan in question was immediately pushed away by stewards, as Gunners boss Mikel Arteta pulled his players away and sent them towards where travelling fans were celebrating.
