Despite a sloppy start to the season, the former Ajax manager has masterminded a major turnaround that sees the Red Devils in contention for the Premier League title now.

During his first days as United boss, ten Hag was asked to give his opinion on the domination the Premier League had seen in recent years from Pep Guardiola's side and Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool.

The two managers have won the last five Premier League titles with both sides pushing each other to the very edge on two separate occasions.

Ten Hag vowed to break the dominance with now famous words.

"Eras do come to an end."

The strength of this statement couldn't be more vital after the huge win at Old Trafford.

Liverpool on the other end are struggling to keep up with the leading pack this season. Klopp's side has been unfortunate with injuries and they currently sit in 7th place.

Ten Hag's code of conduct

Sports Brief had earlier reported that ten Hag's arrival at Manchester United last summer provided a platform for the club to rebuild itself and go back to its past glory days. Manchester United had struggled since the exit of the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson with the likes of Jose Mourinho and Louis Van Gaal failing to steady the ship.

There were doubts about ten Hag's pedigree to lead a club of United's stature. No disrespect to his achievements but winning with Ajax in the Eredivisie is not the same as being in the Old Trafford seat.

But six, seven months later, he has seemingly turned around the fortunes of the club despite early issues. He has managed to lay down his philosophies, managed to get his signings and the club is currently dancing to his tune no matter who you are. Cristiano Ronaldo's exit can't make this point any clearer.
