Nigerian Cleric Sends Warning to Chelsea FC, Tells Todd Boehly What To Do to Roman Abramovich

A Nigerian cleric Primate Ayodele, who is the founder of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has suggested that Chelsea could get relegated from the Premier League.

The London club are currently 10th on the EPL standings and Ayodele has disclosed that they are in need of spiritual cleansing.

In a video shared on his TikTok handle, the popular cleric urged the new club owner Todd Boehly to find means to appease former owner Roman Abramovich.

The Russian Oligarch was forced to sell the English club because of his links with Russian president Vladimir Putin, ESPN reports.

Boehly and his associates lodged a 4.25 billion pound ($5.2 billion) bid for Chelsea and officially acquired the club last May, with ratification from the Premier League, the UK government and the EU duly following.

However, the Blues have been far from impressive, with Primate Ayodele insisting that it could even get worse.

He said, via Sporting Tribune:

“Chelsea is finished. If they are not careful they will not function again. The people who bought Chelsea should go back to the owner and get his blessings.

“Otherwise if they put 10, 20 strikers, defenders, the best keeper in the world, there is a curse troubling Chelsea at this moment. I have told you, take these my words very very serious if you want to progress, otherwise Chelsea can go to total relegation.

“Any team that faces Chelsea now can beat them, they need spiritual cleansing for them to wake up to the challenges that is ahead of them.”

Sports Brief earlier reported that former Chelsea star and Premier League manager Gus Poyet has rated the Blues' chances of finishing in the top four following their disastrous run of results.
