"The news suggesting I presented a proposal to coach the Belgium National team is totally false."
Henry has already gotten backing from Romelu Lukaku, the country's lead striker. The legendary Arsenal and Barcelona striker was beside Martinez as Belgium finished third in Russia 2018 and dominated FIFA rankings for nearly four years.
Martinez stepped aside after a disastrous World Cup campaign that saw the Red Devils exit from the group stage. The former Everton coach has since taken over as the new Portugal boss.
The new head coach will have to get a new captain after Eden Hazard retired from international duty after the World Cup.
He will also have to deal with massive cracks within the squad that affected the squad in Qatar after Kevin De Bruyne's comments.

Sports Brief has previously reported that Belgium's 'Golden Generation' fell short of winning another major title, with a shocking group stage exit at the 2022 World Cup.
Martinez's side was outclassed but survived against Canada, were embarrassed by Morocco, and then frustrated by Croatia. The Spanish manager has since resigned with nothing to show, save for the long periods the Red Devils were on top of the FIFA rankings.
But before last year, the signs were on the wall, with Belgium failing to bring a dominant team to Qatar unlike in 2018 - their bronze year.
