Cristiano Ronaldo has auctioned off one of his five Ballon d'Or awards to charity.
The five-time recipient of the most coveted individual diadem in world football reportedly assisted in raising €600,000 for charity by donating a replica of his prize.
Ronaldo's Ballon d'Or was purchased at the auction by Israel's richest man and philanthropist Idan Ofer.
According to ESPN, Ronaldo's gesture ensued during a gala hosted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation at London's Dorchester hotel in the United Kingdom last Sunday.
