Graham Potter reportedly still has the backing of the Chelsea hierarchy despite widespread calls for his sacking.

The Blues boss has come under immense criticism in recent weeks, with the west Londoners currently on a poor run of form.

The Stamford Bridge dwellers have managed just one Premier League win in nine outings, with their last outing ending in a 4-0 humiliation at the hands of Manchester City.

Be that as it may, the next five fixtures could prove critical for the future of the Englishman at Stamford Bridge.

Who is Chelsea facing next?

Chelsea's next five fixtures include four derbies, with a clash against Liverpool also on the cards.

Potter's charges are scheduled to battle London rivals Fulham in their fixture set for Thursday, December 12.

The Blues will then host Crystal Palace on Sunday, January 15, before taking on Liverpool in a space of six days.

Next up will be another Premier League meeting with the Cottagers at Stamford Bridge followed by another tricky fixture across the capital against West Ham United.

Chelsea is currently placed 10th in the standings with 25 points, 10 points from a top-four spot.

Chelsea boss sends defiant message

At the same time, Sports Brief reported that Chelsea boss Potter sent a defiant message to Blues fans calling for his firing.

The English boss has been at the helm of affairs at Stamford Bridge since September 2022, following the sacking of Tuchel as coach.

The former Brighton manager has endured a tumultuous start to life with the west Londoners however, as the Blues languish in 10th on the Premier League table.
