He went ahead and revealed his first conversation to the players as the club's head coach, claiming the players let Steven Gerrard down with poor results, as reported by Mirror.
“I am very upset… I arrived here two months ago, the first thing I told them was that I was not happy coming in as a substitute for another coach. When it is not going well, the club usually changes the coach.” he ranted.
He highlighted a common theme in players' attitude at a new manager and how that faded after a few games.

Football“At the beginning - when one coach is coming - the first reaction is being excited and everybody giving all they can. But to be consistent in that way, that is difficult to keep,” he added.
Stevenage mock Philippe Coutinho
Sports Brief earlier reported that Stevenage mocked Brazilian forward Philippe Coutinho after he was substituted in the 66th minute of the game, claiming it should have come earlier.
The former Liverpool man has been grossly underwhelming since his move from Barcelona, first on an initial loan move which was made permanent later.
He could be one of the first players out of the club as Emery looks to make changes and sign his own players at the West Midlands club.
