The Williams brothers, Inaki and Nico made sure they started the year with a family photo after an amazing 2022 saw them represent different countries at the World Cup.

Born to Ghanaian parents in Spain, Inaki- the eldest represented his Africa heritage- while Nico featured for the country of his birth.

The two made history in Qatar, becoming the second Ghanaian siblings to represent two different countries at the global showpiece.

To celebrate the start of 2023, the brothers shared a photo with their mother, displaying a strong family bond for the new year.

The Athletic Bilbao stars have been key for the Basque club this season, with both in fine scoring form for the La Liga outfit.

Inaki and Nico Williams have been attracting interest from England with the youngest on the radar of Arsenal and Liverpool.

The eldest became the first player to feature in every La Liga game for six consecutive years, beating the record of Real Madrid legend Alfredo di Stefano.

He also holds the longest run of games in the Spanish topflight league.

Williams' gesture warms hearts

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Black Stars forward Inaki Williams spent his time after Athletic Bilbao's game against Real Betis to console defender Luiz Felipe.

Felipe was red carded in the final minute of the goalless stalemate at the Benito Villamarin after a heated confrontation with Ernesto Valverde following his tackle on Iker Munian.

The defender before the game had lost his father and which seems that have taken a toll on him during the clash. Felipe was given the option of not playing against Bilbao but decided to feature.

Williams brothers make season bet

Inaki Williams and Nico Williams have challenged themselves into who will finish the season as Athletic Bilbao's top scorer.

The Spanish-Ghanaian brothers are enjoying a good start to the season with the eldest scoring four goals already while Nico has three for himself.

Inaki, who has chosen to represent Ghana at international level revealed that he and Nico has entered a wager over who will be the best this season.
