Alisson Becker was thoroughly ridiculed on social media after a howler in the FA Cup third round against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Liverpool goalkeeper inexplicably played the ball to Wolves attacker Goncalo Guedes, who could not believe his luck for his side’s opener.
Jurgen Klopp’s side came up against their Premier League opponents for the tie, with Cody Gakpo given his debut in a Liverpool shirt.
The Dutch forward showed some early signs of promise with early attempts on target, but it was Wolves who got the opening goal, against the run of play.

Alisson cleared a ball short to Thiago Alcantara, and the midfielder failed to reach it on time and it bubbled back to the Brazilian shotstopper.
In an attempt to keep play going quickly, Alisson attempted another pass to his right but it fell onto the path of Guedes, who guided the ball home.
Almost immediately, fans erupted on social media as they called out Alisson for his schoolboy error.
“What an assist from Alisson. Best goalkeeper in the world,” One fan joked.
“Alisson with his quarterly howler right on queue,” another added.
“What happen with Allison?? that's a silly mistake coming from a top GK like him.”
“De gea will be proud of Alison for this,” Joked another.
Alisson’s mistake was almost as comical as that of his counterpart David De Gea, who also inexplicably let the ball go between is legs on Friday for Conor Coady to get an equalizer for Everton on Friday.
