Ex-Chelsea striker Timo Werner warmed the hearts of fans, after he shared a message of support for his former team before their high-stakes clash against Manchester City.
The Blues hosted the reigning Premier League champions at Stamford Bridge on January 5, looking to stem a flow of poor results.
Graham Potter's side are currently clutching at straws, with the Blues nearer to the relegation places than they are to Champions League qualification.
Werner left Chelsea under uncertain circumstances after a reported falling out with then-manager Thomas Tuchel, sealing a move back to his old Bundesliga club RB Leipzig.

Werner's struggles in England
The German striker struggled to replicate his Leipzig form in England, and was often on the receiving end of criticism after missing clear-cut chances.
He was respected by the majority of fans however, as his commitment and desire to fight for the club was always quite known.
Ahead of the Manchester City game, he took to his Instagram stories and shared a photo of a live stream of the Chelsea game. He captioned the photo 'Come On!'
The Stamford Bridge tenants lost the game 1-0, but put in a decent performance against Pep Guardiola's side. The two clubs meet again on Sunday in the FA Cup.
