Bayern Munich are set to seal their first signing of the 2023 winter transfer window as Dutch defender Daley Blind pens a deal with the German giants.
The Bundesliga champions have identified Blind as the perfect cover for French defender Lucas Hernandez who ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament at the World Cup.
According to Goal, Blind will sign a contract with Bayern Munich until the end of the season with the option for another year after undergoing his medicals on Thursday.

After performing well for the Netherlands at the 2022 World Cup, Blind agreed to renounce his previous contract with Ajax early in December in order to force a transfer to Germany.
Blind will hope to add the Bundesliga title to his several honours after winning the seven Dutch Eredivisie titles seven times, the Europa League and FA Cup.

Meanwhile, Netherlands defender Daley Blind has landed in Germany ahead of sealing a move to Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich in the coming days, SB Nation reports.
The 32-year-old central defender will likely undergo a medical and sign a contract straight after becoming the first winter signing for the Bundesliga champions.
Bayern Munich to pay no transfer fee for Blind after the defender mutually terminated his contract with Eredivisie champions Ajax in order to seal the move to the Bundesliga.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Dutch international defender Daley Blind is to leave Ajax six months before his contract expires, the club announced on Tuesday.
The 32-year-old former Manchester United star played every match of the Netherlands run to the World Cup quarterfinals in Qatar where he scored a goal against the United States.
Blind has now agreed to leave Ajax by mutual consent.
