Benfica fans have registered their utmost displeasure with midfielder Enzo Fernandez over his 'gross insubordination'.
Enzo, who was one of the sensations at the 2022 World Cup, angered Benfica supporters after he was sighted partying in Argentina for New Year's Eve.
His actions invariably meant he missed the team's training sessions amid links to Premier League club Chelsea on the back of his sterling performance at the global showpiece.
The 22-year-old midfielder first enraged the supporters after defying orders not to fly back to Argentina with his recent photo partying in his native country infuriating them the more, per Daily Mail.

Following the emergence of Enzo's New Year's Eve photos, fans of Benfica have unleashed their fury at the young midfielder.
"Get out, go away and don't come back," one post read - as reported by Spanish outlet AS.
Another angry fan told Enzo: "You're very unprofessional to be in a club as big as Benfica."
A seriously peeved fan slammed Enzo while urging Benfica to ship him out quickly.
"What a lack of respect for Benfica at a crucial stage of the season. Take the £105m and go to hell. No player is above Benfica."
"Ungrateful," one fan said. "If it wasn't for Benfica you wouldn't have gone to the World Cup."
And another scathing reaction said: "For me, don't play for Benfica again! What a lack of professionalism for a club that helped him go to the World Cup and the Champions League. Wake up boy."

At 21, Fernandez has now become the youngest player to score for Argentina at a World Cup since Messi in 2006, ESPN reports.
