Manchester City striker Erling Haaland remains the outright favourite to win the Premier League Golden Boot this season.

The former Borussia Dortmund striker has enjoyed a bright start to life, since he joined the reigning English champions in the summer.

Haaland has netted an incredible 21 Premier League goals so far and has not shown any signs of slowing down.

The Norwegian youngster had scored 18 goals in the English top flight before the World Cup break. However, he has since picked up from where he left off, having already scored three goals after the resumption of Premier League action.

Haaland's latest strike came over the weekend, when he scored against Everton to take his tally to 21 goals.

Which players are rivalling Haaland?

Veteran Premier League strikers Harry Kane and Mohamed Salah are the other stars hoping to challenge Haaland for the Golden Boot.

According to Goal, Kane has already netted 13 goals in the league, while Salah - who has won the prestigious award on three occasions - has scored seven goals so far for Liverpool this season.

Other players eyeing the prestigious prize include Brentford ace Ivan Toney and Fulham's Aleksandar Mitrovic, who has scored 10 goals so far.
