Bellingham in high demand
Before his impressive showing at the FIFA World Cup, the Dortmund star was already in high demand.
Real Madrid and Liverpool are said to be leading the race for the youngster, but it’s unclear who the favourites are at present.
As reported by The Real Champs, Los Blancos believes that €130 million will be enough to snap up the Englishman’s signature.
Bellingham’s staggering value
Transfermarkt notes that Bellingham’s value is currently €110 million, but the German side are hoping to hold out for at least €150 million.
While that figure may be considered absurd, the 19-year-old is one of the hottest prospects in world football at the moment.
Bellingham is contracted to Dortmund until 2025, so the German side are under no pressure to sell him during the transfer window.
Birmingham City to benefit
Birmingham City will be watching the meeting with interest, as they will benefit directly from any sale. Dortmund signed the youngster from Birmingham, but the English side negotiated a 5% sell-on clause into the deal.
Chelsea identify Ecuador star as alternative to on-demand Gvardiol
FootballAs noted by Goal, Bellingham became the most expensive 17-year-old in football history when he signed for Dortmund in 2020.
Liverpool target Borussia Dortmund star
Liverpool is not relenting in their bid to strengthen their squad, as the Reds are now focused on landing midfielder Bellingham.
The Reds, who are one of the top clubs pushing to sign the 19-year-old from the Bundesliga giants, hijacked Manchester United’s deal for Dutch midfielder Cody Gakpo.
Bellingham could leave Germany for a cut-price deal, with it believed that his contract at Dortmund contains an unconfirmed £60million release clause, Sports Brief reported.
