  • Cristiano Ronaldo's move to the Saudi Arabian League is the current topic of discussion among the fans
  • Some have now claimed that the Portuguese will still struggle for active games in Saudi Arabia
  • Supporters even stated clearly that Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo will score more goals that Ronaldo

African football supporters are now of the views that Portugal international Cristiano Ronaldo will still struggle to earn active playing time in the Saudi Arabian League.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has made mega million move to Al-Nassr and he is now the highest paid player ever in the history of football.

Ronaldo made the move to Saudi following his exit at Manchester United where he had issues with those in charge of the Premier League giants.

He actually travelled to Qatar with the hopes of him winning the title, but Portugal were bundled out of the World Cup in the quarter-final by Morocco.

What are the fans saying?

According to the report on GOAL, fans claimed that Cameroon international Vincent Aboubakar will be getting active playing time than Ronaldo at Al-Nassr.

They also claimed that Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo will also score more goals than Ronaldo in the Saudi Arabian League.

Meanwhile, Ighalo was in action for Al Hilal on Saturday night, December 31, and scored a goal in his side's 2-2 home draw against Damac.

Why European clubs snubbed Ronaldo

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how former Manchester United defender Wes Brown explained why Cristiano Ronaldo failed to get European suitors after his acrimonious Old Trafford exit.

Ronaldo's fairytale return to United ended with a bitter taste in his mouth after the Red Devils came to the decision to part ways with the ex-Real Madrid superstar before his contract expired at the end of the season.

United arrived at the decision on the back of Ronaldo's explosive interview with ace British broadcaster Piers Morgan.

In the controversial interview with Morgan, the 37-year-old slammed the club, coach Erik ten Hag, owners the Glazers and former teammates Gary Neville and Wayne Rooney.

Since the interview and after an uneventful World Cup, Ronaldo has signed for Saudi Professional League side Al Nassr in a deal worth over 200 million euros.
