Former Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has paid tribute to late football legend Pele, who passed away on Thursday night, December 29, thereby joining millions of people in the world mourning the former Santos star.
Pele was one of the greatest footballers to have played the game, considering his brilliant performances during his active playing days, including winning three World Cups.
Before he died, the Brazilian was in hospital in Sao Paul for many days, but was said to have stopped responding to medical treatment.
The 82-year-old was in a long battle with cancer, which sadly took his life.

According to the message Oliseh posted on his Facebook page, the Nigerian claimed that Pele will never be forgotten because of his legacy.

''The King Of Football Pelé peacefully passed on today, but his legacy lives on & will never be forgotten nor equalled."
Oliseh expressed his gratitude to Pele for being his hero and inspiring him, as well as for the joy the Brazil football icon brought to billions of people across the world.
Pele was Santos' all-time top goal scorer with 643 goals in 659 games, and was the only player who won three World Cups in history.

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Pele passed away aged 82 on Thursday night in Sao Paulo, Brazil, after a lengthy cancer battle.
