Football fans are now convinced that every Premier League goal scoring record is under threat, after Erling Haaland’s latest masterclass.

His brace took him to 26 goals across all competitions in his first season in the English top flight, as he became the fastest player to reach 20 Premier League goals in a single campaign.
Haaland is surely en route to win the Premier League Golden Boot thanks to his heroics, as his 20 strikes now means he has reached the milestone faster than some legends of the English game.

Big names on the list include Sergio Aguero, Thierry Henry, Kevin Phillips, Fernando Torres and Ruud Van Nistelrooy. The previous holder of the record was Phillips, who had achieved the milestone in 21 games.
How it happened
Manchester City were initially heavily frustrated by an extremely disciplined Leeds side, but they eventually found a break through Rodri’s follow-up finish.
Haaland then stepped up in the second half, initially being set up by the unselfish Jack Grealish to score into an empty net. He then slotted home from close range for his second, to give Leeds a more difficult task of mounting a comeback.
Leeds eventually found what proved to be a consolation goal through Pascal Struijk's header from a corner. Joe Gelhardt's poked finish nearly set up a tense finale, but it trickled agonisingly wide.

The Red Devils went 2-0 up thanks to goals from Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial, with the duo in superb form on the night.
