The Red Devils enjoyed a 2-0 Carabao Cup win over Championship side Burnley to proceed to the quarterfinals. The Premier League return also saw the club back to action with a victory at the Old Trafford.
United saw off newly promoted side Nottingham Forest in a convincing 3-0 win, as noted by the Athletic. Rashford opened the scoring in the 19th minute and three minutes later assisted Martial. Fred scored the third late in the game.

All love between Rashford and Lingard
Jesse Lingard spent 22 years at Manchester United after coming through the club's academy and left at the end of last season after his contract expired, not in a way he would have wanted to leave.
He did not hide his dissatisfaction at former boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who he said treated him unfairly at the end of his time by giving him fake promises, as reported by Express.
However, he retains all love and respect for his teammates particularly fellow academy graduate Marcus Rashford. The two embraced after the match and exchanged jerseys.
Man Utd extend four contracts
Cristiano Ronaldo's transfer: Is CR7 leaving Manchester United and which clubs are likely to acquire him?
FootballSports Brief earlier reported that Manchester United triggered one year extension to the contracts of four players who could have been out of contracts in the summer.
Marcus Rashford is enjoying a fine form at the moment and also attracting interest from PSG. The club have now tied him down for a further one year as talks continue over a new contract for the Carrington graduate.
The other three players whose contracts were extended are Portuguese right back Diogo Dalot who is attracting interest from Barcelona, as well as Luke Shaw and Fred.
