Santos have resolved to pay tribute to legend Pele by updating the club's crest.
The Brazilian football club will use a crown emblazoned on its uniform as a tribute to the three-time World Cup winner, who passed after his battle with cancer.
The decision was announced by the president of the Deliberative Council of the São Paulo group, Celso Jatene in an interview.
“The crown will already be on the shirt of 2023. Santos will play in 2023 with the crown on the badge: the two stars (of their two Brazilian titles) and a crown on the top of the badge,” Celso Jatene said via Archysport.

According to Footy Headlines, Santos' crest in 2023, will have a crown placed above it. The change will be permanent and is a homage to Pele, who many consider the greatest footballer of all time.
