Marcelo enjoyed a trophy-laden career at Real Madrid, winning five UEFA Champions League titles as well as multiple La Liga medals.

He ended his time at the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer transfer window, moving to Greece to play for Olympiacos.

The veteran defender did not make Brazil's squad for the World Cup in Qatar, with Tite opting for Alex Sandro and Alex Telles.

Marcelo started his career in Brazil with Fluminense before moving to Spain in 2006.

Marcelo's son signs for Real Madrid

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Real Madrid hopes that Enzo Alves is just as good as his legendary father.

The 13-year-old striker is the son of Los Blancos and Brazil legend Marcelo Vieira. Marcelo is Real Madrid's most successful player, and now his son, Enzo Alves, hopes to follow in his father's footsteps.

Marcelo signed for the Spanish side when he was just 18 years old, and now the La Liga champions have snapped up his son, who is only 13.

Marcelo makes Olympicos debut

Real Madrid icon Marcelo Viera suffered a nightmare debut in Olympiacos' 3-0 defeat to Qarabag in the UEFA Europe League.

The 34-year-old signed for the Greek giants on a free transfer from Real Madrid last summer after 16 years at the Santiago Bernabeu.

But the legendary left-back got off to an embarrassing start possible with the Piraeus-based club on Thursday evening.
