Argentina goalkeeper Emi Martinez has taken his squabble with Kylian Mbappe a notch higher after he aimed a brutal dig at the France star during their trophy parade in Buenos Aires.
Martinez played a key part in Argentina's triumph at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar where he won the Golden Glove Award.
The Aston Villa goalkeeper pulled off a point-blank save in the last second of extra-time to thwart Randal Kolo Muani's effort that could have sealed the game for Les Bleus. He then went on to save Kingsley Coman's penalty as Argentina won 4-2 to be crowned champions.

Martinez vs Mbappe
Before the game, Martinez had lashed out at France's star forward Mbappe. Martinez revisited previous comments by Mbappe where the 23-year-old appeared to suggest that South American football was not as competitive as European football.
Despite winning the trophy, Mbappe ended up putting four goals past him, including three from the spot. Martinez was however filmed trolling the Paris Saint-Germain star in the dressing room where he called for a minute of silence.
In Buenos Aires, Martinez was seen holding a doll with Mbappe's picture on it as the players engaged with fans in an open-bus parade.

Hundreds of thousands of fans have flooded the streets of Buenos Aires to welcome players of the national team following their World Cup triumph.
World Cup 2022: Mbappe appears to taunt Messi during epic final
FootballSports Brief reported that the Argentina national team arrived in the country in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The team led by talismanic forward and captain Lionel Messi became world champions after beating France in the finals on Sunday.

Sports Brief also reported that Martinez explained the meaning of the celebration he used after he was declared the best goalkeeper of the 2022 World Cup.
Martinez pulled off a string of heroic saves throughout the tournament to beat the likes of Hugo Lloris and Dominic Livakovic to the award. But as soon as he received his award on December 18th, he hit a celebration that has been slammed as offensive.
