Oliseh, however, says football stars worldwide are excelling on the inspiration of Pele.

He said via Daily Post:

“This is what everybody is getting inspiration from to excel in their football careers. His name is Pele. He is the greatest player of All Time, G.O.A.T.
“You cannot win three world cups, and anybody will want to compete with you. I know people, especially the young ones, will not be happy with my choice, but those of us who are elderly can identify with him.”

The thrilling FIFA World Cup in Qatar ended on Sunday, with Argentina beating France in a penalty shoot-out to claim the trophy.

Oliseh fires warning to Super Eagles

Meanwhile, Oliseh has disclosed that it will not be funny if Nigeria fail to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Nigeria missed out on the 2022 edition of the tournament in Qatar, having lost the ticket to Ghana in the final round of the qualifiers.

Oliseh, who was on FIFA assignment at the global showpiece in Qatar, has insisted that Nigeria must be at the 2026 tournament to be co-hosted by USA, Mexico and Canada.
